PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TC-555 is a highly concentrated specialty tank cleaning formulation designed for the removal of MDI and TDI in High Volume recirculating wash systems. When added to a 25% caustic potash solution the mixed detergent will effectively remove isocyanates. As this product must be us 140° F, it will not generate foam. This combination of high alkalinity and TC-555 the best choice for an isocyanate tank wash.
USES AND DIRECTIONS
Use TC-555 with 25% caustic potash to clean out all types of MDI and TDI. As the product ages and the decision to recharge the solution vat has been made, detergent mixture still has more cleaning power than most caustic washes, and can be used just a few more times on lube-oils, latexes, fatty acids and alcohols, resins, polymers, etc.
Mixing ratios: 1-2-1 Example: Add one 55 gal. drum of water, 2 x 55 gal. drums of liquid caustic potash, and one 55 gal. drum of TC-555 to vat for 220 gallons total solution. Never add more water to the product than what is recommended. This will diminish its cleaning power. Before making a fresh batch, be sure to clean out vat very well, so as to insure that the new detergent achieves maximum potentcy. The use of a 25 micron bag filter is highly recommended as an extreme amount of solids will return to the vat.
