Acid Aluminum Cleaner and Restorer

John-Henry ECONO-BRITE is an elegant phosphoric acid and hydrofluoric acids, moderate foaming. This mis-named material is more often than not, used to clean stainless steel road tankers. As the name implies, it will, indeed, brighten up aluminum fenders, wheels, etc. It is even used on a wide variety of surface types for ISO tank cleaning, suck as stainless steel, aluminum, painted, FRP’s.

Several other formulation types are available, each with its unique set of characteristics:

- John-Henry LUMINATE® – A superior blend of phosphoric acid and hydrofluoric acids, high foaming.
- JOHN-HENRY #1® Acidic Pre-Soak for manual or automatic two-step wash systems.

Product Description

ECONO-BRITE is a concentrated acidic detergent for cleaning unpainted aluminum trailers, trucks, and buses. The product may also be used as a brightener on stainless steel tankers prior to alkaline washing. ECONO-BRITE instantaneously removes road film, dulling oxide film, and diesel smoke residues without brushing or scrubbing. The product is easy to apply and will not etch or harm painted surfaces when used as directed. It is not recommended for use on glass.

Uses & Directions

ECONO-BRITE may be diluted with up to 25 parts water and perform beautifully in continual wash applications. For light road ﬁlm removal, dilute with 10 parts water. For heavy or smoke soil removal, dilute with 3 parts water. Always apply Aluminum Brightener from the bottom to the top of whatever surface is being cleaned so as to eliminate streaking. Also, execute the ﬁrst rinse from bottom to top, and after that, as desired. Use downstream chemical injectors, pump-up sprayer, or brush on. Only apply to as large an area that will not dry before rinsing.
